ABOUT
A studio for interior architecture and spatial design. We work at the intersection of conceptual thinking and physical production, where ideas are developed with a clear path to realisation.
Our projects span hospitality, retail and office environments. We work with a small and flexible team, supported by a strong network of makers and collaborators.
Each project is designed to be experienced through multiple senses, creating spaces that feel both intuitive and engaging. We believe in solutions that are buildable—functional in use, yet atmospheric in presence.
Through collaborations and cross-disciplinary work, we aim to find a balance between simplicity and intelligence. Our approach is direct, thoughtful and always grounded in reality.

For Auping Netherlands, we developed three distinct physical environments that highlight the qualities of an Auping mattress. Each setting is defined by its own material palette, yet designed to feel part of the same family and share a monumental spatial character. Using relatively lightweight and transparent materials, we created volumes that appear bold and architectural despite their subtle construction.
For our studio, the project was particularly interesting as Auping’s identity extends beyond the visual. The brand strongly relates to interior architecture and is experienced through multiple senses, especially touch and comfort. Within the different sets, choreography closely interacts with the spatial compositions, shaping how the materials and volumes are ultimately perceived.

For the second location of AndSome on the Willemstraat in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district, we transformed a former car garage into a contemporary hair salon. Behind a modest street façade, the space extends into a deep interior with a private courtyard, creating an unexpected sense of light and openness.
The existing grid of steel beams and large roof lights formed the basis for the spatial layout. This structural rhythm guided the positioning of mirrors and lighting, bringing clarity and balance to the salon. A ceiling clad in oak veneer adds warmth, while custom furniture in dark oak veneer, stainless steel and sage-coloured HPL creates a refined yet robust material palette.

Interior design and project management for Café Wilhelmina, located just behind the lively Overtoom in Amsterdam West. The café occupies a monumental 1930s building that has historically functioned as a neighbourhood bar. Within a compact footprint spread across three floors, we created a warm and accessible brown café centred around familiarity, comfort and social interaction.
The interior draws inspiration from a low-key French bistro aesthetic with subtle Art Deco references. Locally sourced wood in varying tones is combined with cream and off-white hues, vintage lighting, mirrored glass, brushed stainless steel, aged leather, bordeaux HPL and hand-made tiles. Organized vertically, the space places the bar at the heart of the ground floor, with seating above and the kitchen below.

Spatial design and fixture design for Taqueria Clamato, a Mexican-oriented restaurant in the centre of Nijmegen. The concept brings authentic flavours of Mexico to the city while combining tradition with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients.
The interior emphasises texture and tactility, using materials such as concrete, oak and pine wood, Corten steel, stainless steel, brick and coloured laminate. Surfaces are intentionally finished to evoke a sense of ageing and honesty. A concrete bar integrates all serving functions, while the Corten steel back bar and lighting elements create a warm, candle-like glow that highlights the material textures throughout the space.

Interior design and project management for Café de Linden, a hospitality concept by the Binnenvisser Group and Zuiver Wijnen, located in a late-19th-century corner building on the Lindengracht in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district. Historically a bar, the space retains several original features, including stained-glass windows and an uncovered 1850s mosaic floor, which we restored and integrated into the new design.
Inspired by Art Deco architecture and the atmosphere of Italian aperitivo bars, the interior combines custom furniture and lighting with vintage elements. A material palette of solid wood, stainless steel countertops, mirrors and stained glass surrounds a central bar that anchors the space, creating a warm and timeless café environment.

Located in the centre of Amsterdam, One Studios brings together three recording studios, a content creation space and a communal lounge. Conceived as a creative home for both local and international artists, the project unites Sony Music, LASER and House of Aces in collaboration with Sony Electronics, Sony Publishing and PlayStation.
The interior concept reflects the idea of a continuous ‘work in progress’. Raw construction materials — including roof panelling, stained plywood, galvanised tubes and tension straps — are applied with precise detailing, leaving them intentionally unpolished. Developed in close collaboration with creative directors Celis Jansen and Joeri Worm, the space forms a dynamic environment where creativity, collaboration and production come together.

For JD Sports Fashion, we designed and produced a series of modular bar elements that can expand or contract depending on the needs of in-store activations. The units function as workstations for sneaker customization as well as flexible platforms for brand experiences and seasonal campaigns.
Constructed from 3mm folded laser-cut steel with a fine-texture powder coating, the elements are durable and adaptable. Their proportions are aligned so different configurations create a dynamic visual rhythm when repositioned. Practical solutions such as seating attachments, cable routing and interchangeable LED screens ensure flexibility across retail environments. The system was developed in close collaboration with creative director Solomon Kifle.

Interior design and project management for Café Klein, located in a 1930s building on a lively street in the centre of Nijmegen. Inspired by the visual world of French artist Yves Klein, the concept reinterprets the atmosphere of a modern bistro, balancing an approachable café setting with the refinement of fine dining and a menu centred around French-inspired dishes and natural wines.
The interior combines laser-cut stainless steel furniture, custom lighting and upcycled classics, creating a layered and characterful space. Materials such as glass bricks, brushed stainless steel, mirror glass and stained solid wood form a palette that bridges classic craftsmanship with contemporary clarity, giving the bistro a bold yet familiar identity.

Interior architecture and project management for AndSome, a contemporary hair salon on the Tweede Kostverlorenkade in Amsterdam. The design introduces clearly defined zones through custom furniture elements, combining raw materials with precise detailing to create a refined and functional working environment.
The furniture is composed of solid European ash and transparent lacquered blue steel, balancing warmth with crisp structural lines. Functional solutions such as bespoke legs, handles, holders and hooks are integrated throughout the space. Mirrors are aligned with the ceiling lighting grid, creating rhythm and clarity, while reflective surfaces add depth and dynamism to the salon.
